Learn Immigration Law
From the Inside
Our internship program places students and recent graduates inside an active immigration law firm. You will work alongside attorneys, paralegals, and the Internship Coordinator on cases that affect real families. Applicants from college, university, or law school are encouraged to apply.

Hands-On Experience
Research, drafting, and client project work under direct attorney supervision — not just observation.

Monthly Stipend
Interns receive a monthly stipend at the end of each month as support while completing the program.

Close Supervision
Work directly with our attorneys and closely with the Internship Coordinator for ongoing guidance.
Before You Apply
Internship Requirements
Review the following requirements before submitting your application. Make sure your materials include everything listed below.
Must be available at least 2 to 3 days per week throughout the internship period.
Hours and availability are flexible and may vary depending on the semester and your academic schedule.
Submit a current resume with your application. Include all relevant academic and work experience.
Include a one-page sheet titled "Why I Would Like to Intern at DeMine Immigration Law Firm."
Indicate the semester you are applying for or are available to intern.
Be prepared to engage fully with assignments and support the team throughout the program.

Who is eligible to apply?

How long is the internship?
The program runs on a semester basis. Indicate your available semester in the application.
Where will I work?
Primarily at our Fort Myers office in the DeMine Building, 1601 Hendry Street, downtown Fort Myers.
Do I need prior legal experience?
No. We look for motivated students who are curious about immigration law and committed to the program's requirements.
Is the internship paid?
Yes. Interns receive a monthly stipend at the end of each month as support during the program.
When will I hear back?
All applicants receive a follow-up email once a decision has been made. No calls are necessary after submitting.
